Nancy Gregory and her husband, Paul, have called West Boise home since 1990. They raised six children here and are now the proud grandparents of 23.
Nancy’s public service started the way it does for a lot of people: she was a mom who wanted to help. That’s how she got involved in the PTA, then ran for the Boise School Board. What followed was 24 years of listening, learning and making decisions that affected thousands of families.
Along the way, Nancy worked through budgets, policy, negotiations, long-term planning and differing opinions. She served as president of the Idaho School Boards Association and worked on statewide committees addressing school finance, mental health, special services, strategic planning and more. Nancy holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Brigham Young University.
Fitting the Pieces Together
That experience taught Nancy more than how schools work. It taught her how government works—and what good government requires.
You listen to the people affected by a decision. You ask questions. You understand how the pieces fit together. You think about what a decision will mean five or ten years from now. And then you answer for the choice you make.
That’s why Nancy is running for the Idaho Senate now.
She sees a Legislature spending too much time fighting and too little time listening. She sees decisions being made without enough attention to what they mean for families and communities. And she knows from experience that there is a better way to do the work.
District 15 has been Nancy’s home for more than three decades. She’s ready to bring what she’s learned to the Statehouse—and make sure the people who live here have a voice when decisions are made.
